I am a delivery skipper for a European Lagoon dealer and had 9 deliveries scheduled for 2020. Having sailed for many years on various boats and waters after growing up on the Great Lakes and, spending 5 seasons as crew/helmsman on race boats, 3 seasons as a professional skipper sailing Lake Huron and the Georgian Bay/North Channel, charters and deliveries during the off seasons on the East Coast, Bermuda and Bahamas/Caribbean. USCG 100 ton Master with Sail endorsement and N/C OUPV(non-current) in 1985, ASA Instructor certification, RYA Yacht Master Ocean and Croatian Yacht Master CAT A. I am involved with a professional coaching group skippering a corporate and university "Leadership" training program and also mentoring/teaching offshore sailing to the YM Ocean level including celestial navigation, weather, provisioning and safety. I have done 14 deliveries in the last few years from the Atlantic coast (Bordeaux region) to Croatia for the Lagoon dealer, also have done multiple trans-Atlantic deliveries in the last few years. In the last 4 years I have been on the water sailing for more than 600 days. From 1990 to 2014 I stopped being a full-time sailor and became an IT Consultant for large international corporations working as a "Project Trouble-shooter" working directly for various executives and partners continuing sailing professionally whenever I had the time. We owned a 35' sailboat in the Chesapeake Bay and sailed the east coast from the Chesapeake to the Bahamas and I made deliveries on the east coast and the return trip from Bermuda 3 times. Then we had twin daughters, so our life changed. In 2002 we took our last trip from the Chesapeake to the Bahamas with the kids, twins three-year old's on a boat is hard work but very rewarding, then we sold our house and boat and moved to a small town in Southern Germany. I became a "stay-at-home" dad working part time as an IT consultant. Being a stay at home Dad was a rewarding but at times difficult job. The girls are now 21 in university and are very independent and both are sailing as professionals and have spent time sailing on tall ships in the US, Canada, Europe and the Atlantic crossing. I am always seeking opportunities to Skipper offshore. I am 59 years old, a non-smoker in good health and my wife fully supports my return to sailing so that she can join me on offshore passages when she has the time.
Smoking: non-smoker
Relationship status: married
Dietary requirements: Cooking skills are good, I'm not a chef but I can produce good and hearty meals on a boat.
