Aloha! I’ve been sailing in Hawaii since January 2017. Coastal sailing to all the islands in the Hawaiian Island chain on a 42’ Fontaine Pajot Catamaran. My blue water experience started in March 2018 on a 62’ Sunreef Catamaran. I was part owner and crew member for more than 4,500 NM completed on the Blaze II (62’ Sunreef). We sailed from Phuket, Thailand to the Marshall Islands. Traveling and stopping in 8 countries and numerous ports during the 115 day cruise. I was activally involved in all aspects of the voyage. Facilitating the check-in/out process in all the countries, provisioning, stood watch, cooked and assisted in navigation, sail repair and boat maintenance. During my late teen and young adult years my family built an all wooden hull (commercial fishing style) 36’ foot boat in San Pedro, California. My early experience is with power boat coastal cruising and some smaller boat coastal sailing. I have an easy going personality and I’m willing to slip into many areas and aspects of crewing on a yacht. I am currently taking the USCG Captains course in Newport Beach, California. (January 2019). Update: I did not get my captains license. I learned so much during the 2-week crash course. The course broadened my knowledge in all aspects of boating/sailing and yachting. | |
