I am a lifelong sailor (on the Med as a boy, Great Lakes as an Adult, Transatlantic) having been taught to sail by my grandfather when I was four years old. Having decided to make a mid-career course correction I have exited 25 years in media and non-profit work as an Executive to transition to full-time ship's captaining. Completed IYT Master of Yachts (Yachtmaster) 200GT Master Theory Feb 2022. Recently completed a 22-day Trans-atlantic aboard 60' Catamaran. Currently charter captaining (Large Yacht) in Toronto. Looking to build miles. Highly stable, married 25 years, four kids (21/19/17/15) deep and abiding passion for boats and the sea. Comfortable in the galley. | |
