I am a 58 year old architect, recently returned to the UK. My wife and I have just completed a 10,000 mile trip down to and around the Med, over the Atlantic, through the Caribbean, and up the States and back through the Caribbean again. The Med we did on our rather tippy First 36.7, then with our baby daughter we did the Caribbean on our still fast but much less tippy Catana 431. I have also done two Transats and half the Pacific. My wife has gone back to her first love; being an architect, Georgia our daughter is happily at school, we have a French au-pair, so I am free to go sailing again. I have been a qualified Yachtmaster for about 20 years, I am a very good cook, and people always like sailing with me because I'm fun and easy-going. If you need a sailing reference, I have an excellent one from John Goode, FRIN, Chief examiner IYT Europe, (and he tells me he doesn't give them out easily). | |
