| I've been sailing since I was 8 years old and have owned, cruised and raced a J-30 and a Catalina 30 on the Chesapeake Bay. I have also captained a wide variety of charter boats in the Caribbean, the U.S. and Europe, ranging from 22 to 52 feet. Most of my cruising has been coastal or between islands in the Caribbean, with a few overnight passages. My wife and I lived in Abu Dhabi from 2013 to 2018. In Abu Dhabi, we enjoyed racing an RS-400 and I served as the commodore of the Abu Dhabi Sailing Club for my final two years there. I also raced dinghies and keelboats on the sailing team while in college. Having recently retired at the age of 61, I am interested in doing some offshore passages as a crew, starting with the ARC Atlantic Rally this year. | |
