I grew up racing everything with sails. Did West Sound series, Swiftsure, Grand Prix. At 18 I joined the Coast Guard and served for 5yrs doing search & rescue from ships and aircraft. My wife of 35 years, Lynette and I have settled in Sequim WA. It’s a gem of a town with the bay in the front yard and the Olympic mountains in the back. Our view is currently over the San Juan Islands with a view of Canada beyond. We have 4 grown children who are happily very successful on their own. My wife is a HS science teacher and I do my dream job and some business/tech consulting to keep the lights on. In 2016 we bought a 35’ Perry-designed sailboat in San Fran, then sailed to San Diego to outfit for a MX cruise. 6 weeks later we were off, buddy-boating with our friends in their catamaran. We spent 5 months, 3,000 miles down and back around the Sea of Cortez, finishing in San Diego. I’ve sailed all over the West coast up the Inside Passage in Canada, down to MX, the Caribbean, Bahamas and parts of the East coast, Croatia, Italy, Sicily, Panama Canal. in 2020, did a 4,000 mile yacht delivery from FL to Ensenada MX.
