I am semi-retired and this will be my first winter of cruising. I am a part-time CEO and a retired professional speaker. While I have lots of experience on power boats, I have limited sailing experience. I have crewed an ARC as well as captained a number of power boats. I am a Master Scuba Instructor and have spent much time on the water over the years. My plan is to dive and sail the Caribbean this winter. My boat is a 1978 37' Tayana cutter rig. I have had the boat gone through extensively and it is ready to go. The rigging has been reworked, the engine is in great shape, rebuilt transmission, new auto-pilot, bottom paint, etc. She is ready to go. This is a new adventure for me. I am easy I am looking for someone who is well versed in sailing. I would also like someone who is easy going, can share cooking duties and has significant experience sailing in the Caribbean. If you can dive that is great although I can teach you. The plan is to leave Puerto Rico about the 11th or 12th of January, 2020. I will cover all boat expenses including food while we are on the boat. You would have to cover your costs on shore. My preference is for a female, although I am flexible. Plenty of room/bunks on the boat for two or three people. I would even consider a couple. If you are interested I will want to know your experience as well as a other boat owners you have worked with as a reference. I don't use social media so you will need to contact me directly. | |
