Hej happy you got this far, don't stop yet :) I am interested in all sorts of adventures, from transport to racing, and getting to know new friends. Sailed since I first opened my eyes from dinghies to 100ft racers, crossed Atlantic 5 times (ARC once, once on a schooner, and racers 3 times). Multiple trips from/to Baltics and the Med. Done a lots of OR/Coastal helming/Nav/meteo. I did 21 Round Gotland Offshore Races (https://race.ksss.se/) as tactician/meteo/navigator with 5 class wins and 2 totals and quite a number of Baltic Race, Big Boat Race, Archipelago Regattas, Kieler Woche etc. in various classes. Participated in two Volvo Ocean Race campaigns (1997-98 with Team Swedish Match and 2001-2002 with Team SEB - VOR60's) as tactician/navigator/meteo for teams 2nd boat, sparring in training and racing, and for sponsor purposes participating in many of the northern European races. During earlier days I took on assignments transporting yachts from/to Sweden eg transports of pleasure/racing yachts to/from the Med, and racing yachts transported to Kieler Woche, the Solent, Ile de Quiberon etc. Now racing on invitations and family sailing summers in the Med on bareboat charter and the Baltic waters on our 42ft'er. Master of my calendar so can sail all year around. Feel free to get in contact with your thoughts :) - Licenses: Royal Navy sub-lieutenant, 24 months at sea as helmsman on 60ft Naval Vessel. Navy issued Yacht Master Class VIII (Offshore/Ocean) incl radar/radio/medical/fire. World Sailing Offshore Personal Safety Certificate valid -2024 Cat 0/1/2. | |
