Hi My name is Ted Peggie and I am from London. I have grown up sailing all my life mainly down in Devon (Salcombe) and the Isles of Scilly where I have spent hours and hours dinghy sailing and motor boating. I have a huge passion for all things water based and wish to take my sailing to the next level such as acting as crew on any delivery trips and transocean passages. I am a qualified RYA Day Skipper and hold the RYA Yachtmaster Theory certificate with the aim of taking the RYA Yachtmaster exam soon. I also hold my Powerboat Level 2 licence and SRC VHF licence. In November/December, I crewed a 42ft Jeanneau across the Atlantic from Gran Canaria to St Lucia, this was my first ocean passage and I learnt a lot from it and on the back of it I am incredibly keen to do more Transatlantic crossings and more Ocean sailing in general. I gained much of my sailing experience/ qualifications through being in the Royal Navy CCF section at my school and this also taught me a great deal of other valuable life skills such as leadership, discipline and most of all to have respect for people around you, fellow crew mates and particularly those in more senior positions. I was educated at Tonbridge School and look to go to Durham University to read Law in 2021. I am ready to join up with any yacht that wishes to have me onboard and I am ready and look forward to the challenges that face me and I can ensure you I will strive to do everything to the best of my ability. I look forward to the opportunities I may have and experiences I will gain and am more than prepared and look forward to learn and develop my sailing skills from experienced sailors. I look forward to hearing from you Many thanks Ted Peggie | |
