Looking for: Worldwide opportunities
Experience: 30000 ocean miles / 20000 coastal miles
I am a professionally qualified yachtsman with 40 years experience of cruising under sail and power in vessels under 24m. I am available to skipper or crew ocean passages worldwide, expecting only my travel expenses to be paid. My brother is also a professionally qualified ocean yachtsman and we can make ourselves available to sail as a team if required! Ocean Yachtmaster since 1989 and Ocean Instructor since 2017 I have previously worked as a full time RYA Yachtmaster Instructor (sail) out of Falmouth, England. I have skippered inshore, offshore and ocean passages in the English Channel, Iberia, N Atlantic, Mediterranean, Caribbean and right across the South Pacific with 50,000 nm logged. Most recently, I gained experience of sailing an Oyster 565 with her owner, including both use and maintenance of most of her systems and equipment. The cruise included a Bay of Biscay crossing as well as day and night pilotage (some in restricted visibility) into many harbours, marinas and anchorages.
