I am an experienced sailor, International Mountain Leader, adventurer, photographer, and public speaker. I grew up sailing both yachts and dinghies in Plymouth, SW England. Since then I have sailed both long-distance and cruising in the Mediterranean and on the south coast of Britain. I have crossed the Channel and other open waterways numerous times. I worked as a first mate with Gordonstoun International Summer School, sailing in the Scottish Hebrides for several seasons. As part of that role, I was responsible for all cooking on board for a variety of dietary needs. I have circumnavigated the world overland following the 50th parallel, but now I would like to sail more and turn my Yachtmaster aspirations into reality by completing the practical assessment in the next year. (Did the theory years ago.) I have also led smaller expeditions and tours to over 30 countries, ranging from steppe to jungle, desert to High Arctic so I can assist with the logistics if you'd like. | |
