Hello! 👫 We are Philip and Solène, a French couple in their thirties passing by the Canary Islands on a trip towards the Cape Verde, the West Indies, Brazil or another destination across the Atlantic! We are available starting from November 23rd to meet and have a a test-drive in the area before crossing! 😃 Of an optimistic, joyful, curious and lively nature, we love to meet people and go on adventures! For us, sailing is as much a way to get around as a way to live a great travel and human experience! We are more interested in the crossing itself than the destination! 🙌 Both of us are collective intelligence facilitators. We help groups and teams to better cooperate together: to take decisions, improve dialogue, define a common goal… for collective work to be source of joy rather than trouble! We also sometimes integrate in our work expertise from our studies, with an engineering background for Solène, and social sciences for Philip. ⚓ Regarding sailing experience, Solène has all the skills to be an ace crewmate: - Level 4 Cruise at the Glénans (French Sailing School) - Crewmate for 2 years with Jolokia on a Volvo Ocean Race at Lorient as a N°2 - Supervision of sailing with disabled people - Crew member on board Skeaf (old rigging) during the Douarnenez festivals - Skipper on a Pogo 30 during 3 weeks this summer, with 6 crewmates (mostly beginners) - A week ago, she reached Tenerife from Bonifacio (20 days) with a 6-person crew under the Glénans’ monitoring - Initial sea survival course with CESSAN (Centre d'Entraînement à la Survie et au Sauvetage de l'Aéronautique Navale) with the French Navy (rocket launch, life raft, submersion, helitacking) - In other words: she knows the roles on board and respect it, She knows how to handle night and day shifts, participate in manœuvres, send a spinnaker, cook on board, etc. ⛵ Philip has sailed when he was young and is keen to get back on board for the adventure! He spent many vacations in sailing school in Brittany, went on several cruises aboard his uncle's sailboat in Turkey, and last sailed on a sailboat to meet the dolphins of the Red Sea. He is a quick learner, likes to get out of his comfort zone, and will be happy to contribute to boat life by cooking, singing, meditating, and facilitating other activities! 🌐 On the practical side, we are as comfortable in French as in English and we get by in Spanish. We are also well equipped, and obviously ready to participate in the boarding fund! 👋 Solène is currently in Tenerife (windsurfing, waiting for Philip's arrival) and will be happy to meet you on a pontoon to have a chat if you think that our profile can match what you are looking for! Feel free to contact her or to pass on her phone number if you think someone might be interested: +33 6 86 21 17 97! Looking forward to hearing from you! — Philip and Solène
