| I've sailed since 1967, in dinghies until 2007 when we bought our first yacht, a Dufour 365, to learn and gain experience for a voyage from the UK to New Zealand. We had our Rustler 42, Margansie, built for the voyage, launching in 2014 and departed Falmouth on September 6 2015, arriving in Opua on November 16 2016, largely double-handed. Marg & I are both RYA Yachtmasters and have held MCA Medical First Aid at Sea and Medical Care at Sea certification. We plan, sail, meet challenges and socialise as a team. We're members of the Ocean Cruising Club. We are now based in New Zealand, as is Margansie for the time being... We take safety seriously; everything else is for fun! | |
