I am a French-Swiss-Spanish citizen, currently travelling around the world (or at least trying to!), looking for a transatlantic passage In November or December 2020, from Western Europe (or Canary Islands) to the Caribbean. I acquired some navigational experience by graduating from the French Naval Academy in 2010 and spending a year aboard patrol ships in the Indian Ocean (based in Reunion Island). I spent 100+ nights at sea, my primary role being Officer of the Watch. Before that, I've been sailing mainly with friends in the Med and around Brittany/English Channel. As a student, I was responsible for 2 teams participanting to the Spi Dauphine regatta in 2008 and 2009, on 9.5m racing boats with a crew of 7, sponsored by BNP-Paribas. I am competent in navigational skills, watch keeping, competent in areas like VHF comms or Safety at sea (and cooking!), but only have limited knowledge in rigging, adjusting sails, reefing etc... | |
