Hi. Highly experienced small boat sailor, windsurfer and kite surfer. Cruising and racing experience a bit more limited. Recently, spring 2017, completed W-E Atlantic Crossing BVI to Azores to Plymouth, UK as crew and responsible for provisioning and leading the cooking. Past also includes onsiderable lake sailing and crusing on Great Slave L in Northern Canada, some Carribean cruising. 10 years Canadian Marine Rescue Assoc., CGA including operator, coxswain, CCG RHIOT school graduate. Reasonable experience working with composite material repairs (fixing broken sailboats and boards), good mechanical aptitude. Semi retired professional engineer specializing in cold climate (Arctic) buildings engineering in Canadian territories and Russia (until 2008). Can stand watches, very good sail handling, reasonable costal nav, pretty extensive experience at cooking underway. Looking to continue to build my offshore sailing resume and gain more experience. | |
