Fellow sailors, I am an Amsterdam-based finance professional and sailing enthusiast who is planning a career break from October 2019 onwards. My primary focus is on Atlantic crossing and trips from Continental Europe to the Canaries or Cabo Verde. The ideal case would be 2019 ARC - if we are talking about a race, I am fine to travel to your location to train beforehand. I am a qualified skipper (Dutch ICC, RYA Dayskipper practical, RYA Coastal Skipper / Yachtmaster Offshore theory, Dutch Radio licence) and have skippered sailboats in the North Sea, Mediterranean, Adriatic and Baltic seas. Able to pick up a lot of duties. However, I am looking to join you as 1st Mate/Crew so that I can learn from a more experienced skipper before I go on to buy a boat on my own. I have a professional and no-nonsense attitude to everything I do and I care about safety and expect to join a boat that maintains good standards. Eager to hear about your plans! Roman | |
