I am a very healthy and active 61 year old who has sailed on & off all my life. I have been married to Nicky for 38 years. We have 4 children and 3 grandchildren. I have since 1996 worked in our own business which employs 36 people and are now fortunate to be part retired. Nicky & I have owned and cruised a small sailboat in NZ as well as the UK. I have cruised the English channel and French coasts with my parents on their Halberg Rassy 41, sailed across the Bay of Biscay, crewed in the Round Britain & Ireland Race in 2010 and circumnavigated with the Clipper 2010/11 race as a Watch Leader. Since then we have chartered boats in Croatia, Greece & The Grenadines. We plan to buy a yacht in 2022 and cruise Europe and possibly the Caribbean. I have a RYA Coastal Yacht Master qualification. I am looking to do some more blue water sailing to enhance my experience before becoming a skipper of our own boat in 2022. I am a good helmsman and love being out in the fresh air. I am lucky not to suffer from sea sickness. I am a social able person, but also enjoy my own company and can fit into most company as shown by my year aboard "Welcome To Yorkshire" the Clipper 68. | |
