Looking for: | Western Europe & North Atlantic Islands; |
Experience: | 3000 ocean miles / 35000 coastal miles |
I retired in Feb 18 from my job as a chest radiologist in Manchester and set off sailing from Holland in Equinox on April 1st. I have welcomed 42 crew members on board so far with family, friends, colleagues and friends of friends. Everyone has enjoyed their time and many have come sailing again. As a shakedown we circumnavigated the U.K. and Denmark enjoying one of the best summers in Norway and Sweden for many years before returning down channel to Brittany, Spain and Portugal before crossing to Madeira, the Canaries and so via the ARC+ to St Lucia. I have 45 years sailing experience mostly in the west of Scotland but was a watch leader with Rubicon 3 across from Iceland to Scotland and did 7000 miles last year alone. I enjoy teaching and cooking and equinox is a solid aluminium one off designed cutter which has been a joy both in the Fjords and in the tropics. I look forward to meeting up with you as a big part of the joy of sailing is sharing experiences with crew and other yachties... | |
