| I am a boy and I just finished high school in a nautical institute in the "Captains” course. During the last 2 summers I worked all the season embarked on a 30 m motorboat for tourists in the Maddalena archipelago (Sardinia). I live in a seaside town and I practiced the sport of sailing, doing regattas in Italy, first on the optimist and then on the 420, since I was 11 years old. I did with a 9m sailing boats two transfers from Genoa to La Maddalena. I would like to cross the Atlantic by sail in order to understand through this experience if the sea can be my future, even professional. I prefer to embark on sailing boats with small crews rather than ending up on large cargo or passenger ships. | |
