| Former CEO (currently taking a career break) and traveller, I sailed from an early age on my father's yacht before buying a few of my own (I have owned three classic yachts ranging from 21ft to 70ft) before starting a family. Now 56 I charter when I can and crew with others in the SW of the UK (I live by the sea) but whilst I am an experienced yachtsman, I have yet to experience an ocean passage. I was an offshore yachtmaster but am now requalifying (it's been a long time). I am an experienced watchkeeper and a pretty good helmsman and like to think that I am calm under pressure but an not a fan of shouty and aggressive types on boats. I have a 'window of opportunity' so joined in case there is a 2022 Arc yacht short-handed but could be open to yacht deliveries and short-haul if the timing suits.
