I have had been sailing all my life. The main events have been fitting out from a bare hull a Rival 34, then sailing it to the Mediterranean as Skipper. Sailed off Abersoch in a Sigma 33 as navigator raced around the cans cruised to Scotland & the east coast of Ireland. Raced in Cork week. 1992 Passed my Yachtmaster offshore exam. 1995 Passed my Yachtmaster Ocean exam. 1996 Training with Clipper sailed on the RTW yacht Maiden. Signed up to do 1 leg of the first Clipper Round the World race. 1997 Sailed on Serica Clipper from Hong Kong to Singapore then on to the Seychelles this was one leg of the Clipper RYW race. 1998 Sailed with Clipper on a Corporate week to Dublin and back to Plymouth. 2000 Gained a Long Range Radiotelephone Certificate. 2000 Sailed on Antiope Clipper from Lanzarote to Southampton. 2002 Sailed on Capetown Clipper from Villamoura to Plymouth. 2003 Trained with Challenge signed up for the Challenge Round Britain Race on BG Group. 2004 Sailed with Challenge on the Round Britain Race & we won the race on BP Explorer. 2009 Sailed with Clipper Hull & Humber on the Round the Island race. 2011 Sailed on a Dufour 38.5 Breast to Villamoura. 2012 Attended The Ocean Cruising Seminar. 2012 Sailed on a Benateau 56 Villamoura to Maderia. 2013 Sailed in the ARC+ via Cape Verdes to St Lucia in a Southerly 135 RS started at Villamoura. 2015 Sailed up the Intercoastal waterway on the East coast of the USA from Charleston to Annapolis as Skipper on a Southerly 135 RS. 2016 Sailing from West Palm Beach Florida to Key West then to Havana, stopped off at one or two places in Cuba. On to Grand Cayman, then forward to the Panama Canal. Transited the Panama Canal as Crew/line handler on a Southerly 135RS. I have logged 40,000 sea miles. I have a very wide range of skills & knowledge on yachts systems up to eighty feet in length, I am able to work below & cook in very demanding conditions.
