I have a passion for sailing that has driven my life choices as I approach retirement from the business world. A world cruising life is in the planning stage and the boat is purchased. I started planning for this life by obtaining my USCG Captain License (50 GRT Masters), becoming an ASA instructor and racking up many offshore passages and professional yacht deliveries. I enjoy teaching and often combine ASA instruction with yacht deliveries. I have had the the great privilege to help many students, friends and crew achieve their Sailing Vision. I own a Jeanneau 379 and actively sail and race her in both offshore and Bay regattas. I am an engineer and can troubleshoot and fix most boat stuff (if I have the right tools). I have a lot of offshore heavy-weather experience. I can take a Captain or watch leader/crew role. Hoping to cross the Atlantic this year prior to taking delivery of my own yacht in South Africa in July 2022. | |
