Hi hi, I'm 23 years old and freshly out of University having graduated from the University of Edinburgh in July 2018 with a 2.1 in Business and Geography (MA). I had an epic four years, meeting loads of my now close friends and exploring what Edinburgh and Scotland had to offer. In my first week at Edinburgh back in 2014 I joined the Uni's surf club and I haven't looked back since. I've been hooked, surfing my way around the British coastline as well as further afield (France, Portugal, Ireland, Indonesia, Chile) with mates and I'm now in South America travelling with a surfboard up the west coast. I'm currently in Chile, which has been breathtaking so far, and I'm slowly heading north towards Peru. I sailed a lot when I was younger and loved it but since I live near Oxford, in England (one of the most landlocked places in the UK) and I went to school near there my sailing was restricted to the occasional weekend at the local lakes but that's it. I'm looking to get back into sailing and I'm looking for a sailing related job, or somewhere close to the sea in Cornwall, England where I can sail for this summer. But before that, my crazy idea is to find a boat that needs a hard working, energetic and always willing to push a bit harder kind of crew member and a boat who also doesn't mind someone with a lack of recent experience. I pride myself on the speed at which I can learn hands on jobs and I'm at my best when doing so. I'm a qualified SLSGB beach lifeguard and Level 1 surf instructor with plenty of ocean experience, even if its just observing from the land or at surf spots. I've worked the past few summers as a self-employed gardener with my twin brother, as well as a surf instructor on the west coast of Ireland so I'm used to working hands-on, long and outdoor work within a team. Through my surf instructing I also have a lot of experience with children from 6 upwards and love spending time around them, strangely they always seem to teach me something despite the age gap. As I said above I'm currently travelling north through Chile but I've been avidly looking at opportunities to join a boat and most of the opportunities look to be in the Caribbean so I've been looking at flights and I'm ready to book a flight at a moments notice. In terms of dates anytime from mid April onwards is perfect. I'm on a serious budget but I'm aware that I might have to chip in with crew costs. if there is a way for me to work extra to cut down costs or something like that then amazing! I know from reading the above my lack of experience might be a worry but if needs be I can join you before leaving for the Atlantic crossing to get used to the boat and for you to teach me whats what so I'm more competent for the crew. Thanks a million for reading my profile, feel free to message me on whatsapp or email and I look forward to hearing back from you :). Thanks, Oscar

Dietary requirements: Before coming to South America I'd been a vegetarian/vegan 90% of the time but I have slightly wavered since coming out here and am now I'm back to eating everything for the time being so if vegetarian/vegan is the option then amazing but if not I don't want to be a hassle.
