I am a 26 year old graduate of Geology, Trinity College Dublin 2014. I am a lifelong sailor, having sailed with my family since childhood. At the age of 11 I began dinghy sailing and remain a qualified ISA dinghy instructor. The year after graduating I circumnavigated Ireland in an 18ft Drascombe Lugger with my 16 year old brother. Since completing the circumnavigation I have travelled in India and Nepal before working in Ghana in early 2016 as a mentor to entrepreneurs seeking to start up their own businesses. I completed my RYA Yachtmaster Offshore in 2016 and have subsequently sailed 10,000 nautical miles, including the ARC Europe in 2017. I have been working in tech PR since 2017 and now making my return to sailing! I am currently looking to increase my miles ahead of taking part in the Cape2Rio race in 2020. | |
