Dear shipmates, Me and my partner just crossed from Cape Verde to the Caribbean’s on an Amel55. We had a great crossing and looking forward to join a new boat-crew-adventure! We are currently in Martinique and would love to find a boat crossing the Pacific for the upcoming season. For the next months we would like to do short passages and travel places (Caribbean islands, Cuba, mexico, South America). A bit about my sailing/ Yachting experience... The last two summer seasons I was working as a stewardess on a 30 metre classic sailing yacht in Ibiza. Working seasonal in the yachting industry enables us to be free travelling for a time. In May 2017 I had the great opportunity to join a beautiful classic schooner (built in 1935) going from Turkey to Sicilia via Malta. We navigated without autopilot and had quite some rough sea at times. For me a never forgotten experience. Merci! In winter 2016 I helped to deliver a 45 ft catamaran and about a month after a 39ft catamaran from Les Sable d'Olonne to Croatia (about 2500 nm, times two) where we did ocean passages and lots of night navigations. I functioned as crew, watch keeper, deckhand, galley hand. From May to November 2016 I've started gaining my first sailing experience on a 26 meter sailing yacht (CNB 86) in the Mediterranean Sea. My duties included anchoring, fender work and mainly maintenance of the boat, cleaning, preparing cabins and taking care of groceries and making food for up to eight people. I also helped preparing the boat for the Atlantic crossing, the deck had to get removed, so there was a lot to do for us crew. Unfortunately due to work delay in the shed, the boat was not ready for the transatlantic that season. I love travelling, during the last six years I visit and lived in many different places like Asia and Australia. I enjoy to discover other cultures, cuisines and landscapes. My hobbies are trekking, water sports like snorkelling, windsurfing and diving, also reading and getting creative! Travelling by boat and joining crew is a great way to share experience and living this dream! Looking forward hearing from you! Fair winds!
