| I am 59 years old and have owned a sailboat for 39 years. My current boat is a Saga 43 which I am preparing for extended cruising with my wife upon our retirement. We live on the Great Lakes and have done extensive sailing, cruising and racing in this area. I regularly sail at night. I perform most maintenance, repairs and upgrades on my own boat. I did a one-year cruise on my own boat from Buffalo, NY to the Bahamas and back. I have done several offshore ocean passages of hundreds of miles. I am completely confident in handling a sailboat in nearly any circumstance. I'm looking to gain more extended distance offshore experience. | |
