I am a retired physician who has been boating and sailing for 30+ years. (I was at sea for 18 months as a Navy Ship's doctor in the pacific). I love sailing and am now looking to gain further offshore experience . I have many interests and hobbies including reading, music and sports. I play tennis 3-4 times a week and work out regularly. I have owned multiple boats(28' Grady now), have owned and lived aboard a 40 foot sailboat in the past, and have chartered 40 foot sailboats in coastal Maine waters. I am very familiar with all boat mechanical systems and have done most of my own boat repairs and maintenance. I have cruised the Maine Coast extensively and have sailed down to the Chesapeake. As crew, I can competently handle watch, navigate, make repairs, problem solve, and as a physician can help with medical problems that may arise underway. I have a good sense of humor, am easy going, clean and organized, and take direction well. I am in this for the fun experience, and would look to make any cruise more enjoyable for everyone involved. I have good experience navigating using radar and GPS (in heavy fog or at night). Please consider me for crew for your voyage! | |
