| I am a 20 year old American, with 2 years of experience as a heavy diesel technician, and a 2 year degree in the same field. I decided to leave the land based industry, and have began my career on boats and yachts, and am very eager to learn to sail. In this pursuit, I am also trying to obtain my sea miles and knowledge base required for a Yachtmaster offshore certification. I am a strong, healthy, and handy individual, owing to my experience in a hands on, and mechanical profession.I am a very adept learner, and am generally a sponge for knowledge. As part of my foray into yachting, I have certifications for basic first aid, CPR, fire fighting, and emergency survival techniques and responsibilities while at sea. I have experience in helping with docking procedures on a 50 meter (164 foot) super yacht, as well as experience skippering smaller <20 feet outboard vessels. | |
