| Hello I'm Marilu, I am Italian, and 52 years old. I am passionate about sailing and have been sailing since I was 18. I have been owner of 2 small sailing boats in Sardinia which I have now sold. In summer time I have occasionally worked as deck-hand/hostess for charter companies and done lots of sailing holidays with friends in the Med. I have crewed a Hanse 505 in the ARC in 2018 (from Las Palmas to St. Lucia) with a family from New Zealand with a 12 y/o girl and spent few more weeks in the Caribbean with other boats from there to Guadalupe. I have then joined the ARC into the Pacific in 2023 on a Fountaine-Pajot 42 with a family from Australia (from St. Lucia to Tahiti). I do understand life onboard very well, I can help with boat preparation/ grocery/ cooking healthy dishes/ keeping the boat clean/ stand night watches /helping with planning / set and adjust sails as required. I love to share experiences and memories. I am water lover with good diving experience (2 SSI cert), snorkeling, surfing, sup... I do speak fluent English, Italian, and Spanish and a little French. I am an aerospace engineer, with project management experience and I learn very fast. I bring a good attitude, smiling face, I also have lots of respect for owners' privacy. Lots of experience in the Mediterranean area, I love to travel and look forward to sailing in the Caribbean, the Pacific islands and worldwide. | |
