Hi, I must be mad giving up a stable job mid world pandemic, but hey.....only live once. Time to focus on my dreams. Looking to return to my roots for few years. Sailing. ecology and conservation, marine biology, bit of diving are all the things I love. I am based in the Solent /Poole area. I sail on various boats racing several times a week and cruising. Over the last few years I have enjoyed longer trips on various yachts sailing to the beautiful Isles of Scilly; cross channel weekends for a bit of wine tasting! ; three months crewing from Wales down the Irish coast then across to Brest and around the Med: racing in the Barbados and Grenada regattas and then having a more leisurely time cruising around the gorgeous Caribbean islands I would love to return to explore the Caribbean/ Bahamas/ South America further and one day make it back to New Zealand and Oz with a few other unplanned trips in between. I have always sailed. I was brought up in the Midlands by fanatical sailing parents. In the absence of sea we raced dinghies on the lakes. Family holidays in the Med flotilla sailing were fantastic. Most people find me easy to get on with, (well they tend to invite me back on board). I can cook reasonable meals, am always prepared to do any necessary job and generally stay calm in a storm etc. | |
