I have a current USCG Master 100 Ton Merchant Mariner Credential and I live in New Jersey and p/t in St. Thomas, USVI. I am not married, own a home, Have done reasonably well with two careers behind me. I currently work as a p/t charter captain. I have never been seasick and hope to keep it this way, god willing. I am stronger than most, thoughtful and exercise good judgement. I have skills in engine repair, boat maintenance, survival, cooking and construction. My most recent trips 2022-2023 were on 63’, 62’ and a 46' monohulls on passages from 5 to 12 days. I am open to all oceans and can usually get to any interesting opportunity on short notice. I will consider all seaworthy vessels on all oceans. I prefer Captains who are good communicators. I am fit, get along with everyone and have many skills. I am 6'2"/210 pounds and recently turned 55. Serious or less than serious sailors are both OK with me as long as safety is not overlooked. I prefer a ship shape vessel and enjoy working to keep it to a high standard, whenever possible. I am not on vacation when I am aboard. If substances are part of your sailing life, I am not the right sailor for your vessel. Thanks for taking the time to review my profile! | |
