| I was a teacher for 20 years. I had a dramatic career change and managed a yacht chartering business in the Whitsundays for 6 years some 20 years ago. I gained my USL V commercial skippers ticket, which is valid for Commercial vessels up to 25m in length. I also worked in the mining industry for some 6 years. I retired early in 2013. In the same year I bought a Beneteau First 50 in Largs Scotland. My wife and I entered and enjoyed the ARC Portugal. We continued into the Med and sailed for two years in total. After a split up the yacht was sold. I have continued to return to Spain and enjoyed more sailing with friends and new acquaintances. One of my friends owns 4 Volvo 70's. I have helped him on several occasions with deliveries. I have many sailing miles including one Atlantic crossing. I can send a CV if required. | |
