I'm an American from Nashville, Tennessee, now living in London. I'm married with three teenage boys. I moved here in 2015 during a time when I was CEO of a small software company. We were expanding into Europe and made London our base. We decided to stay after I sold the company. I took a first crack at sailing more than ten years ago, doing the ASA sail training scheme in the US but got busy with little kids, business school, and starting a company. I came back to sailing five years ago when we moved here to the UK. I've done my RYA Comp Crew and Day Skipper along with classes in First Aid, Sea Survival, VHF Radio, Radar, and Diesel Engine Maintenance. I've done training on both the south coast and in the Thames Estuary - very tidal tricky sailing. I'm now working on my Navigation theory to go for my RYA Yachmaster certification later this year. I have a 36 foot Hunter Legend bilge keeler that I sail with my family in the Solent. My wife and I plan to buy a bigger boat once all the kids are out of the house and liveaboard starting in the Med.
