Looking for: | Worldwide opportunities |
Experience: | 0 ocean miles / 2400 coastal miles |
We are Kevin and Jeannine: a married couple, 38 years male and 33 years female. We are no drugs, no smoking, fit and have a passion for exploration. Assets we would bring include divemaster, ability to cook and clean/maintain, and are security conscious (military&police background). Both have American Sailing Association advanced coastal cruising (++) in 2013, and since have skippered a bareboat crew of 10 people on a 44 ft sailing catamaran in the BVI (2014) and a crew of 8 on a 40 ft sailing cat in Thailand (2018). We both volunteer with our local Marine Search and Rescue unit and get to spend time on a RHIB (a fast rescue craft) practicing lots of safety drills such as MOB, close quarter maneuvering, navigating at night, navigating by radar, towing, etc. We are also members of a local sailing co-op where we get to go out on small cruising monohulls (Catalina 27's with tiller arm and 28' with wheel) to explore the southern Gulf Islands of British Columbia. Our other interests include hiking, kayaking, diving, good food, and good company. Our schedule is completely open from Dec 2020 until late fall 2021. We may also be available sooner (together or individually) so please feel free to reach out to us as plans always change and there will be times that we will have several weeks of availability at a time. | |
Smoking: | non-smoker |
Relationship status: | married |
Dietary requirements: | Recently switched to eating plant based (vegan) as much as possible, however expect to eat fish/sea food while out sailing, and periodic cheat meals. The choice is primarily for health/longevity reasons. No food allergies for either of us. |
