Hello I am currently in Las Palmas, looking for a boat to cross the Atlantic and meet my girlfriend there who will be working during 4 months there. I want to enjoy this opportunity without taking the plane if possible, so why not going on this adventure in these conditions. I have sailed from Spain to the Canarias islands, on a homemade steel 11,80m, quite not suitable for sailing, 3 on board, doing night shifts, day shifts and cooking. I learned sailing as a kid and then I had done one week some years ago at the university, sailing around the french island L’Ile de Ré. I had also participate to some sailing races with my father’s friends as a teenager. Last year I was teaching physics and chemistry in France to pupils aged from 13 to 18 y.o and professional trainer for young adults between 16 and 30 years, with many approaches and different public’s profiles. My girlfriend is doing her PhD with the international organisation of animal health, in partnership also with Paraguay, where I am heading to. | |
