Ref 35962

Nationality: United Kingdom
Currently based in: Dundee, United Kingdom
Looking for: Caribbean; Mediterranean & Black Sea; South America; Western Europe & North Atlantic Islands;
Experience: 48000 ocean miles / 10000 coastal miles
I joined the Royal Navy in 1970 at age 15. Now a fit 64 year old I have may thousands of sea miles under me on ships,submarines and sailing yachts. I currently operate a small business in Dundee, Scotland. Having gradually increased my experience on monohulls and achieved my Yachtmaster Offshore in 2016. A recent transatlantic trip on an Amel ticked off a long awaited ambition. I am keen to increase my knowledge of other yachts especially cats. I consider myself honest, reliable trustworthy, a good listener and with a flexible approach when dealing with others. My technical background in Marine Engineering , diagnostics and problem solving may come in handy to someone, someday. I am from the "work hard play hard " school and very much like to let my hair down at the end of a trip. NOTE; Apologies in advance! I realise most of the skippers I contact are in the ARC 2019 I cannot be available until early January 2020 and then off by 7th March, so really I am looking to join you for onward travel into Caribbean.
