Have been sailing since I was a little boy and dreamt about building my own boat and sail around the world. 50 years later I stil did not build my own boat but the love for sailing an exploring new coasts is still vivid, became even stronger. With the present situation, our 3 sons have left the house, me and my wife have decided to spent more time in travelling. OCL offers a great opportunity to travel with my most favourite means of transport. To be honest, my wife will not have the same opinion, especially when it concerns crossings over 250 miles. So given the destination we will apply as a couple or just me. Besides reasonable alround sailings skills on a level of coastal skipper i am an easy going person with a positive open mind. With my background of the hotelschool i have a hospitable attitude. During the various sailing journeys I have made I was next to other tasks on the boat in charge of the food and beverages. At present I am a teacher Dutch as a second language, so if there is the urge to learn the language I can be of service. | |
