I am currently Captain on a Bali 5.4, which I collected from the yard in May 2021. I'm familiar with the handover procedure at Bali/Catana and know what to double check. I also have a number of recommendations for various options offered by Bali based on our experience onboard last season. I have sailed over 25,000 miles, have crossed the Atlantic three times and I am used to being very remote and self-sufficient. I enjoy catching our own fish to eat, being sustainable by purchasing local foods and consciously thinking about our environmental impact as we travel. I like to sail a safe yacht and prioritise making sure the yacht gets from A to B in the safest way, whilst still optimising our performance to sail fast and making sure everyone has fun onboard. I like to make sure that the yacht is looking good, works to its full potential and to minimise breakdowns. I am also very hands on and resourceful engineering wise and have my AEC 1 and 2 and am a civil engineer by trade. I am used to spending extended periods on yachts with owners and their families visiting wonderful places and sharing the experience, however, I also know when to be discreet. I think that you have a very exciting programme and would be really keen to be involved in your adventures. My partner, Georgie has worked with me as chef/stew for the past 3 seasons and would love to join as crew. She is a keen sailor who has crossed the Atlantic
