| Hello! My name is Ish and I am a 26 year old male. This past season I worked as a deckhand on a commercial salmon fishing boat up in Southeast Alaska. The previous 5 years before that I worked as a Captain/Program Director for a sailing program for teens located in the British Virgin Islands. I ran 3 week trips at sea on 50 foot sailboats where I taught sailing, marine science, scuba diving, and leadership. I have my captains license through the coast guard and I have my STCW as well. Next month I will be upgrading my 6 pack license to the 100 ton Master. I do not have much offshore experience as of yet, but I am a fast learner and a hard worker and I am hoping to use this site to gain some experience! | |
