Hello. I was born into a sailing family and was carried on the boat for the first time at the age of 3 months and since then I have spent every year several weeks on the boat (9m keelboat, built by Grandpa in the GDR himself). When I was 6 years old I started dinghy sailing and from the age of 7 to 20 I did it more and more professionally, right up to competitive sport. During that time I spent at least 400 hours a year on the water with the dinghy. I have participated in numerous international regattas and championships. I have been training the club's youth since I was 16, and when I was 20 I joined the German Sailing League team from Rostock. I have always gained my experience as a captain on the Baltic Sea with non-sailors. I can cook in rough seas, I don't get seasick and I know almost all repair work on a boat, with the exception of engines and fine electronics. Otherwise I have a manual skill in many areas. In addition to sailing, I have discovered bouldering, kite surfing and aikido in recent years. After I finished my teaching degree (mathematics / physics high school) I decided to travel for a year before I start working. So if you need a versatile extra hand on the boat, contact me.
