| A personable and calm 54 year old, in good health and physically active. Has sailed since childhood, mostly racing dinghies and has taught own children to sail. Spent a season working as a first mate on sailing yachts after graduating University and has recently been skippering yachts for family charter holidays. Capable offshore and night-time watch leader and competent day skipper. Recent Experience (last 5 years) Skipper for 6 weeklong charter holidays (3 in Greece, 2 UK and one US) as skipper of 34-44 sailing yachts and a 40ft Catamaran – total approximately 500 miles First mate for • Various day sails on 25-30 yachts from Chichester Harbour - total approximately 200 miles • Delivery of 25ft sailing yachts Hayling Island to Brightlingsea – 150 miles • Delivery of 40ft sailing yacht Falmouth to Hayling Isalnd – 170miles Owns and regularly skippers 6.5m RIB (last 10 years) Owns and races 15ft sailing dinghy (last 15 years) Previous experience In 1989 I was first mate on a 60ft ketch sailing from Gibraltar to Barbados via Gran Canaria and Morocco, Then worked as deckhand in the Caribbean on a 60ft sailing yacht for 3 months.
