Thanks for considering me. First of all, I am an exceptionally easy going person. I'm friendly and enjoy people. I like to think of myself as a "no fuss, no stress" person. Beyond that, I am healthy, in-shape, and known to run the occasional marathon. I am gainfully employed and can cover my expenses. Sailing wise, I have what I call significant "beginner plus" experience. My family owned sailboats. I have owned and sailed Catalinas and similar boats on inland lakes and coastal waters. I have completed sailing courses at the Mariner Sailing School in Washington, D.C. (intro) and Blue Water Sailing School in Florida (ASA 101, 103, and 104). I have bareboat chartered for three weeks total in the BVI. I have also been launched off the deck of the aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt in a C-2 Greyhound. (While that isn't sailing experience, it could be the best experience to date.) My goal is to continue to gain experience in passage making and longer cruises while learning from those with more knowledge. I want to put in the time to learn from the bilge up. No task is too small to matter nor too large to try.
