| Just turned 40 last year I have written down the dream of doing a single-handed (or with 1 partner) crossing of 'a' ocean passage in about 5 years from now. I've been told joining a couple of ocean crossings as a crew member is the most efficient way if you are a quick study. Professionally I'm a technology strategist and help investors and startups building their product-market fit. In my personal life, I love taking on as many different types of adventures as possible. I'm a Drum Major in a wind band with the entire family, I played and coached American Football over a decade ago but am currently most passionate about cooking/hospitality where I have a competitive barbecue team and I give cooking workshops. I was born and raised in Ostend, Belgium at barely 15 minutes of cycling from the North Sea. Since my youth, I moved land inward and this adventure is my way of going back to my roots. The saltwater never left my veins. I am looking for captains that want to pass on their experience and knowledge and to take on a crew member that doesn't necessarily has a lot of experience yet, but is an extremely quick learner, is not afraid of making his hands dirty, up to taking leadership when appropriate. | |
