Since two years I sailed on NGO rescue vessels (Mission Lifeline, Sea-Eye) in the Mediterranean off the coast of Libya. On middle sized steel motor vessels and smaller sailboats. On our missions we saved hundreds of persons from drowning and we work with very different crew. So I´m used to sail under "difficult circumstances". I´m professional metal worker (e.g. constructing, welding) and self-employed as artist, designer and constructor for complex engineered sculptures. Once as traditional journeyman I found myself in different realities, studied Design and Art, lived and married once in Brazil...well, somehow colourful live :)... I´m not the super experienced sailor (only about 3000sm), but know all the basic stuff: Stand day and night watches alone, know how to handle lines and winches and can bring a lot of crafts skills and improvisations into the crew. (fixing equipment and material under difficult circumstances is somehow my hobby :). And last but not least I´m very trained in savety systems. But of course, there is a lot, a lot to learn for me. I´m a honest, communicative and open-minded person and care a lot about positive feelings in the crew. With some german cooking I might contribute in the galley as well ;) Because of my background as Designer I´m good in foto and film documentation. I plan for end of the year to hit from Europe to South America again and would like to do it via sailing. So I´m open for any kind of Ideas. Fair winds for humanity!
