I work as delivery crew on sail yachts consistantly over the last year and have sailed for 30 years. I am always interested in new ventures taking me around the globe. I have done an Atlantic Crossing and a delivery down the East coast of America, both which were around 20 days at Sea, ontop of years of costal sailing around the Med and the Caribbean. The boats have varied in size, the largest boat I've sailed being just over 85ft. Usually working with a team of 4 but I have also had jobs where it has just been the Captain and myself, making my job a 3 in 1 position (do everything on the boat!) So I'm very used to having to multitask whilst working as a deckhand; cook and clean, do repairs, fiter changes, engine checks etc. Right now I am looking to sail back accross the Atlantic from Spain for the next Caribbean season. As a competant crew member and watch leader I would be happy to join a boat that has the skipper and a couple of other crew members who don't necessarily have to be as qualified, but still competant and where we all share the cooking and cleaning to keep a happy lighthearted vibe on the boat. Thanks Gem | |
