| My name is Etienne. I am 61 years young, French, well experienced sailor, who can also cook reasonnably well. To tell you a bit more about myself, I was trained as an M.D., and now work as a research scientist in Biology, working on evolution, biophysics, and more recently on a cheap serodiagnostic test for Covid, among other things. If you require medical assistance on board, I still have some reasonably sound notions of medicine ( although I have not practiced for over 30 years ). I am in good health, do not smoke, and keep fit by cycling to work most days. When cruising on sailing boats, I enjoy taking an active part in all manoeuvres and in boat maintenance and cleaning. When anchored, I like to swim, snorkel, fish, surf if I get the chance, and explore the land around, preferably on foot. My plan is to buy my own sailing boat and sail the seven seas as soon as I retire (but that is still a few years away ...). Until then, I try to sail as often as I can, either with Spidoc, my sailing club in Toulouse, on other people's boats, or sometimes renting a boat for a week or so.
