| I'm a rocket propulsion engineer living in the Bay area. I am also an experienced sailor, holding ASA 101/103 certifications. I own a Catalina 30 named Joyous that I sail in the bay and use to teach myself all manner of boat maintenance. I've taken her on a few long sails, and every year I go on a week-long sailing trip into the Delta, sometimes with 8 people living on the boat. I want to sail around the world, and I'm looking to gain skills and confidence to trade up to a blue water cruiser and leave port for good. | |
