| My name is Dal, full name Daniel James Flynn and I am a Captain with nearly 8 years of professional experience in private and crewed commercial yacht charters and yacht deliveries across the Meditteranean and Caribbean. I have also completed 4 trans-Atlantic crossings, my most recent being onboard a Lagoon 630 Catamaran as Captain with the ARC 2019 from Gran Canaria to St Lucia. We encountered many problems in preparation and during the crossing with this new build yacht, however, successfully and safely arrived after 16 1/2 days! After my experience sailing with the ARC, the community, the wealth of knowledge gained and the camaraderie between sailors and new friends alike, I am very interested to take part in yet another ARC event. I would very much consider the different legs of the World ARC too, in any position - Captain, First-Mate or general Race Crew. | |
