I am looking to take some time off work and cross the Pacific in spring 2021, or whenever it's safe to do so again. Please contact me if this is in your plans. I am prepared to fly to meet the boat wherever it is. In 2015, I crossed the Atlantic aboard the Dutch three-masted schooner Oosterschelde, sailing from Ushuaia, Argentina to Horta, Azores,. I am a fairly experienced tall ship sailor and have been on a fair number of yachts and smaller boats, but still have a lot to learn. There's a lot more I can bring to the table. Do you have a "live to work, don't work to live" attitude? Do you love the communities onboard boats? My day job is as a writer and journalist, and I'm a well-read person who can discuss just about any topic you please (and express my opinion on it!) I think you'll find me a real asset. I love seeing new things, going new places, I love being around people and meeting new ones and I enjoy cooking with whatever ingredients are available. I also have references upon request. I have a lot to learn, but I don't mind if you're willing to teach! The people I've met at sea are some the greatest people I have ever known. I know there are more out there to be met. I have a graduate degree in creative writing from a liberal arts college. I believe in having adventures while I'm still young enough to enjoy them. I'm an excellent listener and will always do what I'm told on board. I am fit and healthy travel light, am respectful, polite, organised, travel light, don't mind cleaning, and enjoy cooking with whatever ingredients are available. I am ready to pay my own expenses.
