| I am a 57 year fit and active person, still involved and competing in sport, now primarily racing Kayaks and Surf Ski's. Married with 3 children ( nearly off my hands!) I am a UK trained doctor planning on retiring over the next couple of years and then following my dream of sailing around the world. I have sailed all my life racing dinghis and then Yacht racing for many years doing multiple Sydney Hobart Races as Helmsman and foredeck and many other races and Cruising as skipper. I am fully competent at sail trim, watch keeping, navigation and all aspects of boat life. I am Ocean Yachtmaster Ocean certified and love Celestial Navigation and teaching, as well as First Aid, Survival at sea and VHF and HF radio certified. I am based in Sydney with my wife and children, with family also in the UK and spend time split between the two. I am laid back and enjoy the cruising life including all boat chores and maintanance, with my only obsession being safety. I am happy to come on board simply as deck hand but have the experience to help with all other aspects as well. | |
